Jiu Jitsu has no true official governing body and because of that, there are no unified rulesets, no global uniform requirements, no standard for belt promotion, nor any single resource to figure it all out.
This community was founded at the end of 2019 in the form of a Facebook group created to help parents navigate the world of competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on behalf of their children. With the rapid growth of the group, it was determined that this was not a localized need.
